WEEKEND SHIFT SUPERVISOR

Rachelle Kidd-Scott

Rachelle Kidd-Scott is the Weekend Shift Supervisor for West Ridge Academy. Rachelle joined West Ridge with well over a decade of experience working with youth dealing Autism Spectrum Disorder. She earned degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Utah Valley University (UVU) in Orem, Utah, and became a social worker. She worked with adolescent boys and girls experiencing psychiatric disorders, as well as those needing specialized substance abuse programs.

Rachelle enjoys the therapeutic and client centric methods used at West Ridge Academy. As a former collegiate volleyball player, she understands the importance of teamwork. Rachelle says that the residents are at the center of everything and she enjoys collaborating and working with the therapists, parents, and guardians.

Rachelle is a master gardener. Having grown up among the orchards of north central California, she knows her kiwis, peaches, and prunes. She enjoys trail bike motorcycle rides and everything related to the great outdoors—especially camping and kayaking. Yosemite National Park, and Sequoia National Park are her all-time favorite happy spots on earth. She loves the peaks, canyons, cliffs, domes, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, wildlife, and amazing forests.

Rachelle likes sharks and she owns two of them. One is an actual hammerhead shark currently swimming around in the Gulf of Mexico. The other is “Shark,” a four pound Chorkie (Chihuahua + Yorkie) with the same attitude of its hammerhead sibling.
