RESIDENTIAL THERAPIST

Ani Robles

Ani Robles is a Residential Therapist at West Ridge Academy. Ani graduated from the University of Utah and earned their Master of Social Work Degree.

Ani has experience treating children, adolescents, adults, and their families. Ani has received intensive training in various evidence-based approaches including CBT (Cognitive behavior therapy), TF-CBT (Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy), and DBT (Dialectical behavior therapy).  Ani provides treatment for emotion dysregulation disorders, addictive behaviors, personality disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder with special interest in emotion regulation, self-harm, and suicidality.

Ani previously trained at Vista Balboa Crisis House, the San Diego LGBT Community Center, adolescent residential settings, Juvenile Justice Youth Services, and completed an internship working with Valley Behavioral Health Children’s Outpatient in Utah.

Serving as an advocate for Underrepresented Groups is something Ani is very passionate about, and in fact, was awarded the John Hardy Stewart Legacy Award from the University of Utah for Growth.

Ani enjoys spending time with friends, family, and nature. Ani loves to spend time writing poetry, painting in watercolors, and binge-watching documentaries on Netflix. Occasionally one can catch Ani playing the piano.
